Rep. Barbara Lee to Participate in Local ACA Townhall
On Saturday, August 3, Rep. Barbra Lee (CA-13) will participate as a special guest in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Health Braintrust’s “Making Good Health MY Reality” tour at Beebe Memorial Cathedral.
The day-long event will include sessions on navigating the Medicaid and Health Insurance exchanges, understanding how Community Health Centers meet the unique health and healthcare needs of underserved communities and on helping small business owners and employees understand the impact the Affordable Care Act will have on employee coverage. The day will end with a community health screening fair where patients will receive free, on-site, health screenings from certified health care providers. This event is free and open to the public.
