CBC Chairman Statement on Government Shutdown“…[Republicans] are unable to govern and will follow this president over a cliff.”

Today, the Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Congressman Cedric L. Richmond (D-LA-02), released the following statement in response to the government shutdown: “There should be no question about who is to blame for this government shutdown: Republicans control the White House, Republicans control the Senate, and Republicans control the House. “Since the beginning of this Congress, Republicans have proved two things to the American people: they are unable to govern and will follow this president over a cliff.” |
